Short answer: Yes, you can order pizza to a hotel. Use the hotel's street address, put the hotel name, your name and room number on the order, add your phone number, and plan to meet the driver in the lobby. Many hotels do not let drivers go up to guest floors.
Step by step
- Check the hotel's policy. A quick call or question at the front desk: “Can I get food delivered, and where do drivers wait?” Resorts, casinos and gated properties often have a specific drop-off point.
- Use the full address. Street address, city and ZIP from the hotel's website or key card sleeve. In the address line or notes, add the hotel name and “Room 512, [your name].”
- Add your mobile number. The driver will call or text when they arrive.
- Pay and tip in the app if you can. It is easier than counting cash in a lobby.
- Watch the tracker and head down when the driver is a few minutes away.
- Meet at the entrance or front desk, unless the hotel told you something different.
Example of what to write
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Address | Hotel street address, city, ZIP |
| Apt / suite | “Hotel name, Room 512” |
| Name | Your name as on the booking |
| Phone | Your mobile, not the hotel's number |
| Notes | “Will meet you in the main lobby. Text on arrival.” |
Why drivers often cannot come to your room
- Key-card lifts. Many hotels need a room key to reach guest floors.
- Security policy. Hotels limit non-guests on guest floors for safety.
- Time. Drivers have other orders; a long walk through a big resort costs them money.
If you cannot go down (a child asleep in the room, mobility needs), ask the front desk whether staff can bring the order up or whether the driver can be let up. Many hotels will help if you ask first.
Hotels where it is harder
- Resorts and theme-park hotels often have one delivery point, sometimes a long way from your building.
- Casinos may send drivers to a specific entrance or the bell desk.
- Airport hotels sometimes fall outside a store's delivery area. Check that the store covers the address before you pay.
- Hotels with their own restaurant or room service generally still allow delivery, but a few ask guests to collect at the door.
Ordering for a group in a hotel
For a team or family in several rooms, have everything delivered to one person and one room number, meet the driver together, and share in the lobby or a meeting room. To work out how much to order, use the pizza party calculator.
Leftovers in a hotel room
Pizza should not sit out more than 2 hours. If your room has a fridge, wrap slices and chill them. With no fridge, ask the front desk whether they can store food, or order less. Most rooms have no oven, so plan to eat leftovers cold or use a microwave if there is one. More: keeping and reheating leftover pizza.
